A private homestead visit.

A gentleman friend has a hidden home and farm off Lower Mountain Road in Lewiston. He invited us to paint there.

Ann Zoher used watercolors and painted facing the south, where the barn is.

Audrey captured the victorian home.

A vine covered barn-it used to be red.

WWPO day 2, part 1

Two days of painting at the famous Niagara Falls, and the second day brought out a crowd of painters. Most of us gathered at Three Sisters Islands.

Picnic time, 2023

Our annual picnic returned to Beaver Island State this year but we didn't have as many bees as last year.

Small certificates were given to every painter, noting each painters special skills.

We have become longtime friends by painting through the seasons. Such luck to have mutual interests in nature, paint and friendship.

#ipapworldwidepaintout2023

Day 1. The day was overcast, but that only means 'even lighting', so we took advantage of the lack of shadows. A great day for this annual event at Prospect Point in Niagara Falls State Park. We came here on Friday as the big crowds show up here on the weekends. Missing some painters photos!

Worldwide Paintout Plan 2023, sponsored by International Plein Air Painters

IPAP schedules (the weekend of September 8-10, 2023) always the first weekend past USA Labor Day for worldwide painting. This 22nd annual paint event unites artists the world over to paint together and celebrate Plein Air.

Our group is at Terrapin Point on Friday and at Three Sisters Islands on Saturday.

Lockport Nocturne!

Jeannette invited us to paint in a spectacular garden she discovered at the Lockport Gardens event, and no one was disappointed. Beautiful plants and winding gardens, all lighted various ways with tiki torches, spots, twinkling mini bulbs and special effects.

We send a special thank you to our host family who were so kind to let us spend hours in the yard. Their work to establish and maintain these special gardens must take constant care. The giant black walnut trees that frame the paths require their own special care. It was carefully organized and the whole area has a peaceful serenity we all noticed. Perhaps it was the music, or maybe the wine. Thanks again, Larry and Judy.

Lake Ontario inspires us

Lunch is a good time to sit back and talk about our work. Sitting on the lakeshore and having surprise pizzas delivered is always appealing.  Thanks to Laurene for the invitation. Lots of great paintings accomplished.

Smiles at Sunflowers in Sanborn.

With a lot of painters and hundreds of acres, we came and went to lunch and had our art sharing at different times. What a joyful place, to paint and draw where children are exclaiming and parents taking photos, surrounded by sunflowers. No wonder Vincent VanGogh painted so many sunflowers.
