Gentrifying Chandler Street

Trains slowly roll by, delivery trucks rumble past, neighbors wave hello, and there is action in every direction. This street is changing quickly and there are cool buildings and vacant lots about to be built up, gardens and a future that is coming fast. Our painters spread out over about a half mile of interesting scenes, mostly to capture history on the move. Thanks to Doreen Boyer DeBoth for inviting us all!

LaSalle Park by the North Bridge to Niagara Falls

Glen Falls in Williamsville

Not the sunniest day in May, but it wasn't freezing and it was a calm day. We all chose to paint the falls in this park as there had been a lot of recent rain and it was thundering down in a most dramatic way. Later, we realized that Sandy was halfway closer (behind that tree!) and also painting the falls.

This gentleman asked Paulette if he could take a photo he said he liked her watercolor painting. She untaped it from the board and gave it to him. What a gal!!! He was thrilled.
