Finding shade

Hot day! But wardells is by the river and these painters are just cool. 90° with a breeze off the Niagara followed by lunch made a perfect day.

Lewiston Landing

The morning was slightly cloudy with moving clouds which turned breezy and mild, then approaching dark clouds brought a few raindrops, followed by hot sun and a blue sky. Wow.
The Silo Restaurant was silent until workers started watering gardens, opening umbrellas and the ice cream stand and hanging flags. The public showed up for a late lunch as soon as the sun appeared.
Our painters had lots of views to choose!

Gallagher Beach

It was windy and the water hadn't warmed yet so the painters found spots that were away from the wind with a good view that wasn't cold.

Lilac Gardens

Two of our painters crossed into Ontario to join a group in the Canadian Lilac Gardens.
